These blocks are described in following sections.
1. INTEGRATED CONTROLLER UNIT
The Controller unit shall have following ports for interfacing to various devices.
Serial Ports(RS232C & RS485 Ports)
Audio output ports
USB Host port
CAN Port
Ethernet Port
Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
The Controller unit shall interface with following devices.
Display boards (LED)
Voice Announcement System
Vehicle Tracking Device
Camera System
Electronic Ticketing Machine (thru WiFi/Bluetooth)
Display Boards (LED)
The Controller unit shall also be controlling the following LED Display Boards:
a. Front Display Board
b. Rear Display Board
c. Side Display Board and
d. Internal Display Board
The displays are connected to the Controller through RS-485 serial ports. The controller shall send the message to be displayed to the respective display board along with the suitable command for displaying the message. The Display Board shall keep on displaying the given messages as per the defined display format and pattern.
2. VOICE ANNOUNCEMENT SYSTEM
The Controller unit shall drive the integrated voice announcement System - both inside & outside the bus. The controller unit has two independent audio output ports. The audio output signals from these ports are given to the amplifiers for driving the Speakers.
The Controller unit shall maintain a database of announcement messages. It shall output suitable announcement message to the respective speakers at requisite time for making the announcement. The Audio output shall be transmitted to various speakers mounted inside and outside the bus on two independent channels ? one for speakers mounted on external display boards and other mounted inside the bus.
